on my wayto home ->去掉to，on my way home, home是副詞，直接用。
looked at it this way and that ->沒有this way and that這個片語，這半句可以不要。
i found that was not so nice at home as it is in the store. -that 最好換成the shirt，否則容易理解為賓語從句的引導詞。後面的is 應該是was
knowing that i couldn』t possible change it ->possibly 動詞前面加副詞。
